Established in 1880, Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club moved to their present home at Summerhill in 1895 from nearby Kingholm. The par of the course is 70, with a standard scratch of 71 and Dumfries & Galloway Golf Club is a rolling, parkland course measuring 6222 yards.
Lochmaben Golf Club
Famous for its wildlife and picturesque views of the Kirk Loch, Lochmaben Golf Course is a challenging experience for any golfer. The course is one of the best examples of a parkland course in the area, is very well kept and, due to the excellent drainage work the greens staff have put in , golf is available all year round.
Castle Douglas Golf Club
Situated close to the centre of the town of Castle Douglas, this attractive, tree-lined 9-hole parkland course is a very fair course for all levels of golfer.
The well laid out courses' greens and tees are superbly kept and are a pleasure to play. The parkland layout throws up some very interesting holes, particularly the third, with its plateau in front of the green.
Crichton Golf Club
This 9 hole parkland course with tree-lined fairways, provides an excellent challenge for golfers of all ages and abilities seeking a truly enjoyable day’s golf all year round. Visitors welcome. The clubhouse has an excellent restaurant - Club Bar 1 - offering delicious meals and snacks and is open to the public as well as members of the golf club.
